Column 483 November 29, 2024
Mr. Gaetz says there were at least four Republican senators who were in ironclad opposition to his nomination: Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and John Curtis of Utah. These four RINOs can stall any Trump nominee even with Vance voting against them.
There are others too that can block Trump’s cabinet picks. Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina have been critical of Trump.
Unlike the Democrats who tend to march lockstep in whatever their party pushes, even though Trump led the Republican party to a winning mandate, there are RINOs out there that couldn’t care less about party unity. They are out to gut some of Trump’s best ideas for reasons they don’t disclose. My guess is they are corrupt to the core.1
If you’re paying attention, you know that the knives are out for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination too. So far it’s mostly Democrats, healthcare “professionals,” university professors, MSM, major search engines, and processed and fast food CEOs who have never read RFK Jr’s book: “The Real Anthony Fauci.” A simple online search for RFK Jr. shows nothing but critical name calling and convoluted conspiracy theory nonsense that takes RFK’s words out of context. What’s amazing is that our country desperately needs a focus on health mostly based on what people eat and drink. It also needs a far greater focus on actual science in treating diseases.2 3
The amount of money lined up against policy reforms for the CDC, food and drink choices USDA, budget cuts, lower taxes, higher tariffs, closed borders, a real military for peace through strength (no wars), deportation of criminal illegals, education, the policing of criminals generally, and other Trump policies are staggering. There’s plenty of it to influence every un-American Democrat and RINO alike.
And don’t forget, there are RINOs in the House of Representatives too. I’m still very concerned about Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. He certainly hasn’t been a road block for Biden’s spending. Since he was elected Speaker on October 25, 2023, the government’s debt has increased from $33.7 trillion to $36.1 trillion and is still growing at $0.825 trillion every three months.4
For certain, getting Trump’s cabinet picks approved will be a big test. Firing and controlling the members of the deep state (which includes some elected officials) will even be more difficult.
To your health.
