A great Christmas and/or Thanksgiving salad my family always enjoys at festive gatherings.
Ingredients
3 Granny Smith apples (green) chopped into bite-sized pieces (One red apple optional)1 rib celery, sliced into small pieces1 cup red or green seedless grapes, halved optional½ cup raisins⅓ cup pecans halved⅓ cup Greek yogurt (home made mayonnaise)1 to 2 Tbsp. agave nectar (for sweetness)1 tsp apple cider vinegar3 cups torn spinach or kale optionalground black pepper, to taste
Preparations
1. In a large bowl toss the apples in lemon juice. Add celery, raisins, pecans, and your optioal items.
Raid the refrigerator for any vegetables to add and feel free to substitute whatever you have on hand.
Ingredients:
2 c. fresh spinach and/or kale (or a mixture of both)
5 radishes, sliced
1 avocado, diced
2-3 green onions, sliced
1/2 red onion, diced
1/2 cucumber, diced
1 c. grass-fed feta cheese, crumbled
Instructions:
Toss together in a large salad bowl. Add dressing and serve. Makes almost a meal in itself.
Dressing:
Combine 1/4 c. Garlic Isle macadamia nut oil, 1/4 c. flax oil, 2 Tbs. vinegar, 1/2 tsp. garlic salt. Pour over salad. Enjoy!
This quick and easy salad is a tasty complement to many a caveman meat meal.
Ingredients:
1 head broccoli, broken into small florets
4 slices bacon, cooked and broken into small pieces
1/2 c. fresh blueberries
1 small onion, diced
1/8 c. macadamia nuts, chopped
1/2 c. plain Greek yogurt (avoid non-fat and flavored yogurt)
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. coconut aminos
1/2 tsp. sea salt
dash of ground black pepper
Instructions:
Combine broccoli, bacon, blueberries, onion and nuts in salad bowl.
In small separate bowl, combine the yogurt, vinegar, coconut aminos, sea sat and pepper to create the dressing.
Finally--a healthy BBQ sauce that actually tastes good too!
Ingredients:
1 Tbs. Garlic Isle macadamia nut oil
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. applesauce (either homemade or without any added sugar)
1/2 c. ketchup (homemade or without any added sugar)
1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
1 Tbs. maple syrup (optional)
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. chili powder
1 Tbs. coconut aminos
1 tsp. sea salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. flax seed, freshly ground (use a coffee grinder)
2 tsp. prepared horseradish
Instructions:
Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium-low eat.

Ingredients:
2 lbs. Slanker's high-fat ground beef
taco seasoning
fresh spinach
1 fresh tomato, diced
1 onion, diced
1 avocado, sliced (optional)
Picante sauce (check label closely to avoid any unwanted ingredients)
Plain Greek yogurt
1 cup SwissLand Grass-fed Habanero cheese, shredded
T-Coon's "The Stuff!" or salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Brown the meat in a skillet over low heat. Add taco seasoning and a small amount of water if the meat is too dry.
Build each individual "taco" salad beginning ith a bed of spinach leaves.
