Pork Chop or Ham Steak with Apples and Onions

A great flavorful pork dish everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients:

6 Omega-3 Bone-in Pork Chops or one Omega-3 Ham Steak
Seasoning salt and ground black pepper for seasoning
4-6 Tbsp. Honey add more if you like sweetness
1 Tbsp. Macadamia Nut Oil
2 Tbsp. Grass-Fed Unsalted Butter
1 large white Onion, sliced in half-moon shaped pieces
2 to 3 Apples, cored and sliced thin
1 c Beer, White Wine, Cider, and Omega-3 Chicken Broth
1 pinch crushed Red Pepper, optional for a little heat
1-2 Tbsp. Cinnamon

Instructions:

1. Season both sides of pork chops or ham steak with seasoning salt and black pepper.
2. Add one tablespoon macadamia nut oil to skillet, and heat over MED-HIGH heat.
3. Add pork chops or ham steak to pan and sear three to five minutes per side, or until pork chops are almost done.
4. Remove pork chops/ham steak to a plate.
5. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together chicken stock/wine/beer/wine, cinnamon, red pepper flakes, and honey, set aside.
6. Add butter, then add apples and onions. Cook four minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt, pepper, sage, rosemary, and thyme. Leave apples crispy.
7. Pour the honey mixture on the apples.
8. Place pork chops or ham steak back in the pan, nestling them down in between the apples.
Cook two to three  minutes, or until pork chops are finished cooking and liquid has reduced by half.
9. Serve with your favorite side.

Optional: you can grill the apples and pork meat to get seared lines for added flamboyance.
