A great country style breakfast you and family will enjoy. Sausage is optional for a great country gravy to use on your meat, biscuits, or vegetables
Ingredients:
½ c Any of the Omega-3 Pork Ground Sausages
2 Tbsp. Grass-Fed Butter or Omega-3 Bacon Grease
2 Tbsp. Cornstarch or Arrowroot Starch
2½ c Milk or Coconut Milk
1 tsp Salt
1½ tsp Pepper
½ tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Sage
Instructions:
1. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Transfer sausage to a plate, leaving drippings in the skillet.
2. Add butter or bacon grease to the sausage drippings.
3. Reduce the heat to medium. Whisk in Cornstarch or Arrowroot Starch and stir constantly until mixture becomes paste-like and turns golden brown, about five minutes.
4. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
5. Add the sausage to the skillet and season with sage, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture is smooth and thick, 10 to 15 minutes.
