Column 486         December 20, 2024Snake Deadly Poisonous

In a recent memo to the White House staff, the Biden administration says it plans to announce in January a whole host of goodies for Americans—including more debt. It just seems that Biden/Harris and their Obama team of maniacs just can’t bury America with enough problems for its future and complicate the transition to a new government.1

The new post-Christmas goodies will come on the heels of his recent climate loans. The Biden Energy Department's Loan Programs Office has provided PG&E with a record $15 billion low-interest loan commitment for revamping its hydroelectric infrastructure, support green projects, and improve the power grid. That came just days after they provided the Energy Department's second-largest loan—$9.6 billion—to a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and South Korean battery maker SK On to help finance battery plants in Tennessee and Kentucky. Another joint venture, between Stellantis and Samsung SDI, secured a $7.5 billion loan commitment to construct EV battery plants in Indiana, and Micron Corp. received nearly $6.2 billion in subsidies from the program to boost American semiconductor manufacturing. Last month, the Energy Department announced a $6.6 billion loan to Rivian Automotive to build a factory in Georgia, which was previously shelved amid financial turmoil at the EV startup. It’s no wonder there’s growing concern that, by inflating hundreds of billions of dollars into green projects from the Biden-Harris' 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, consumer prices will continue to rise faster in the months ahead.

But that’s not enough. Next month Biden wants student debt cancellation for public service workers and other borrowers which the Supreme Court has already decreed as unconstitutional. But Biden couldn’t care less about the law. He also wants a $2,000 prescription drug cap to be in effect for all Medicare Part D beneficiaries. From part of Biden’s investing in America agenda, he wants more action on high-speed internet funds to states, CHIPS, and Science Act incentives funding along with Inflation Reduction Act funding. He is also urging the Senate to confirm more judge nominees. And of course, he wants Congress to pass disaster relief and Speaker Johnson’s pork-laden Continuing Resolution to fund the government for three more months—yes, the one that also gives members of Congress a 40% pay increase! (“Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said he had ‘hoped to see @SpeakerJohnson grow a spine,’ but ‘this bill full of pork shows he is a weak, weak man.’”

On that matter, Trump has stepped in. Trump wants the deficit spending cap increased along with an elimination of the pork that was in the pork-laden bill. That proposal was quickly shot down. Odds of a shut down have soared. But we’ll see. Compromises are certain to come to play.

Of course I expect more preemptive commutations and pardons in advance of what Biden believes will be “vindictive efforts” by Trump’s administration to prosecute top Democrats who purposefully violated numerous laws during Biden’s administration. For instance, there’s Trump's jail threat for Cheney’s deliberate mischaracterizations regarding Trump's role in the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol.2

The really crowning glory for the closing days of the Biden administration is the removal and sale, at cents on the dollar, of the finished border wall material that’s been stored for four years. If those panels aren’t sold, Biden knows Trump will immediately order those panels installed to extend the wall and slow the illegal entry of millions of illegal migrants. This very act of disposing of useful fencing for cents on the dollar is a slap in the face of every American who pays even one cent in federal taxes. It’s a 100% waste of money and will make balancing the budget going forward all that much more difficult. It will also delay the completion of the wall by many months if not years.

Not to be outdone in trying to fundamentally change America, the Senate Democrats are proposing a constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College. They claim that the 18th-century invention disenfranchises millions of Americans because one’s vote should not count for more based on where they live. Yet the Senate works under exactly the same form of limited representation in order to prevent mob rule. Without the Electoral College candidates for president would only have to campaign in high density areas of the United States while ignoring all sparsely populated states. It’s also another safeguard against voter fraud.3

During October and November fiscal year 2025 (the first two months), the Biden/Harris team’s uncontrolled spending spree exploded debt by a staggering $624.2 billion. This is the highest deficit on record for the first two months of the fiscal year. It’s like he wants to hit the spending cap before he leaves office.

These closing acts before the transition can only be the work of people who despise the United States. They are deliberate moves to hamstring the new administration whose goal is to slash spending. They know cutting costs will be very disruptive to the economy and especially the markets. Our domestic markets have been floating on a sea of created cash as the government’s deficit spending continued unabated. What the Democrats want is to shove Trump off a higher cliff and make MAGA look not only bad, but worse. They are doing that in order to set the stage for their return to power and not for the good of the country.

Biden will go down in history as the worst president even when compared to Carter, Obama, and Bush. Trump is going to try to clean up the government’s act, but by creating change that alone will be quite stressful both emotionally and financially. And so far, the Democrats seem to be just as obsessed with getting back in power as they’ve been the past 12 years. And it’s their obsession which drives their lying, cheating, and goal of disrupting Trump’s plans. Now that Speaker Johnson has shown weakness, it looks like the transition is more of a setup for failure than a handoff for success.4

As Biden slithers off stage, the only requests he left out are a “false flag nuke that will be blamed on Russia” or a World Health Organization pandemic shut down order for bird flu. But maybe he has . . . requested one or the other.5
