Ebb and Flow

Ebb and Flow describes something that changes in a regular and repeated way. Of course in most cases “regular” doesn’t mean the changes are as precise as a swinging pendulum. For instance, in business there are always ebbs and flows and the periods often vary because of outside influences.

Our little meat business is impacted by the ebb and flow of orders. As in all businesses, daily orders come in clusters. It’s quiet for a while and then all of a sudden several people order within minutes of each other. There’s also a seasonal ebb and flow where winter sees more action than summer. And, wouldn’t you know it, in the past few years we’ve actually experienced an ebb caused by policies emanating from our federal government.

Our nation’s recent explosion of rapidly rising prices was a crushing blow to consumers and most small businesses. In our case soaring meat prices crushed our profit margins. At the same time some customers pulled in their horns by deciding to eat for survival rather than for their health. Then, starting in early May, something else impacted people which slowed down their order stream even more. I think it was FEAR.

Being apprehensive about the future has caused many people, especially those on the right, to do less of whatever they were doing. No matter how insane the event people have seen and heard, they keep hearing the same lies over and over from the MSM and Biden’s administration. Since the debate more people than ever realized they’ve been lied to for years by the radical left. Now they know in their hearts that the 2020 election had numerous integrity issues. They know the borders were deliberately kept wide open, the government’s debt is still soaring at a rate of $2T a year, the government is still promoting DEI, CRT, and debauchery, support for Ukraine’s war isn’t solving that war, Israel is being pushed to surrender, the Biden crime family is real, and Biden still refuses to admit he has dementia and Parkinson's disease. And that’s the short list.

Now we hear that Iranian nationals have already been operating inside the U.S.—reportedly with plans to assassinate Trump and currently the Secret Service is hopelessly mired in DEI and ineffective leadership. In addition there are the ongoing questions about what will the radical left do to stop Trump and his MAGA movement going forward. It’s common knowledge that the MSM is in bed with the Democratic party, the deep state, educators, celebrities, and elitists and none of them have given up. All of those groups have been gaslighting the American public and there’s still many people who believe them hook line and sinker.

Between now and January 20, 2025 what executive orders are Obama/Biden contemplating? Will voting laws be changed? Will NATO provoke Russia into expanding the Ukraine war? Will there be riots in the streets? Will there be a domestic emergency declared? Will there be limits on the Supreme Court, national rent controls, or medical debt cancellation? Whom will Trump run against? The polarization, growing racial antagonism, increasing economic inequality, and concentration of power under Biden have everyone on edge. For certain, no matter how popular Trump is today, he isn’t a shoo-in while the deep state still exists.

A consequence of being afraid of the future is that people withdraw. This has a greater negative impact on small businesses compared to Big Businesses—especially globalists. This we know for sure. Therefore, small businesses must work extra hard to keep everyone pulling together to make ends meet. Every order is a blessing.

If we are to support Trump, support change back to Constitutional law and order, and lay the groundwork for giving our children the kind of country we once knew—then we must be fearless and willing to fight for it. The same goes for supporting what we want to have in the future. Our nation’s small businesses require a flow after more than three years of ebb. And our grass-fed and Omega-3 meat industry is far from being the only small business sector that has been hurt by woke government officials. Therefore it’s a whole national approach to governance we need to fix.

Therefore let’s be strong and support what counts for us. Ezekiel 2:6 says we must not fear other men. “And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions. Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.”^{1 2}

Trump has been a leader for most of his life. He’s been fearless in his drive to be a successful businessman, father, and leader. Now he wants to work once again for America and get it back on its feet. He has been tested by the opposition like no other candidate in our country’s history, yet he’s still forging ahead. Men like him don’t come along very often.

Let’s fearlessly stand up to be counted in support of the future we desire.
